Tell us about yourselves and how you met.

Our roots trace back to growing up together in the northern beaches of Sydney, where our lives seemed destined to intertwine. It all began on the dance floor in Manly, and after years of a captivating dance of fate, we found ourselves irresistibly drawn to one another, repeatedly rediscovering our connection.

Chris, what drew you to Karina?

What initially drew me to Karina were her alluring brown eyes, long brown hair, and her goddess-like features. Beyond her physical beauty, it was her confidence, determination, infectious sense of fun, bubbly personality, and the inspiration she radiated that truly captured my heart.


Karina, what is it about Chris that you are you most grateful for?

Chris's allure lies in his unwavering confidence and mischievous charm. His audacious spirit first piqued my interest, and I've always been grateful for his vibrant personality. Chris taught me the beauty of not taking life too seriously, always infusing it with fun and laughter. He's been my guide to letting go and embracing love wholeheartedly.

“Souls don't meet by accident". How true does this feel for you both and the unbreakable bond you have formed during your lives together?

Though we may have attempted to dismiss our initial encounter(s) as a mere accident in the past, the undeniable truth is that our connection is unbreakable, even during those moments when we drive each other to the brink of madness.

Can you tell us about your fondest memories or shared experiences that have shaped and strengthened the deep connection you have today?

One of the standout experiences in our journey together was embarking on a beach/off-grid camping adventure as part of our honeymoon. Completely disconnected from the modern world, we faced the wilderness as novices, navigating the challenges of nature hand in hand. Through tides, creepy-crawlies, culinary experiments, and rationed supplies (including the all-important alcohol), we shared moments of laughter, bewilderment, and the sheer joy of figuring it all out together. This escapade not only deepened our respect for each other but also showcased our unique ability to understand one another like no one else can, especially when camping.

After celebrating your one-year anniversary this year, how has marriage enhanced and shifted your relationship? 

To maintain authenticity and keep it real, the concept of marriage has brought both moments of great joy and challenging times into our relationship. At times, the weight of societal expectations and pressures crept in, causing us to question what comes next. However, we've learned that it's essential to do things in our own time, when we are truly ready, returning to the true essence of marriage for us. It's become a joyful celebration of our love, a testament to our commitment to live and love together forever. Our unbreakable bond, which we consider ourselves fortunate to have found, remains at the core of our union.
