Ways to keep your hands and/or head busy:

Make a Vision Board - take one idea or dream that you have for the future and create a vision board using pictures from magazines, writing, photos etc. - Bek

Put some music on and paint/draw. - Bek

Make a present for someone - a hanging mobile for a new baby, a book of vouchers for a lover or friend, a jar of compliments for someone you love. - Bek

Learn how to use photoshop and illustrator and make your friends fun posters or cards to make them smile. - Madi

Play some good old board games or card games. - Emma

Enrol in an online short course. - Emma

Create a photo book online and have it printed. Snapfish is really great and easy to use. - Emma

Decluttering and rearranging is a favourite for me when it comes to keeping busy – Tallulah 

Re-pot and fertilise your plants, because they need love too! - Em

Learn to knit! It’s easy once you get the hang of it - I am currently making a patchwork wool blanket which will hopefully be ready by winter! - El

Suprisingly (or not!) a few team members suggested learning how to make jewellery!

 

Our Customer Service Manager, Zin, suggested Keep it Cleaner as a great app for the mind, body and soul and our Retail 2IC, Issi, suggested Headspace for guided or unguided meditation. 

 

  

Things to do with kids:

Make instruments from junk and start a band - Em

Play dress ups - Em 

Set up an obstacle course - Em 

Get creative with Lego! - Zin

Write letters to loved ones - whether they are in the same city, interstate, or overseas. - Bek

Have a dance party - compile a list of your/your kids favourites, dim the lights and DANCE your heart out.  If you have older kids, choreograph a dance to their favourite song. - Bek

Create gratitude lists - to keep the focus on the goodness in life, those big and small things that are precious. - Bek

 

   

Ways to creatively connect with others:  

Start a blog or join an online community group. - Madi

Have conference calls with friends while watching the same show at the same time, like an online movie hang out! - Madi

Instagram can be consuming, but there’s some really great voices out there who are closer to home than you may think. Use this time to bond through Instagram, whether it be brands or other people you follow, and notice others reactions, and how they are dealing with, it, and maybe taking some of their advice for yourself. - Issi

If you have a gym or workout buddy, keep up your routine at home, and organise to call or FaceTime at your usual workout times so you can still workout together and motivate each other. - Em
