Objects | Mother's Day
As everything that we make here at Natalie Marie Jewellery is handcrafted, we like to support & celebrate handmade artisan objects. One of the many exciting things about opening our showroom last year, was that we had more space to house beautiful pieces, handmade from artisans in Australia and further afield. Below are just a handful of the artisans that we are proud to be stocking in our showroom and online, from small business creatives that are producing pieces out of passion.
A favourite in our studio since day one, Katia's work is organic & playful, with the Moon Dish being one of the best-sellers, it makes the perfect ring holder!
"I am a potter living in Adelaide, South Australia. I make all of my work using a hand built, pinching technique in my home studio, using reduction fired stoneware. My focus is on creating work that is functional and which feels nice to hold, look at and use; drawing inspiration from repetition in nature, folk art and a need for practical vessels in the home." - Katia
Tara is a Sydney based ceramicist and her quirky, petite vases have quite the cult following, made from porcelain and clay.
The most beautiful candles, hand poured in Byron Bay, Australia.
"A collective love of travel, design and the simple things inspired Posie co-founders Ashleigh Sampson and Casie Brooker to curate a soulful collection of candle blends - each reminiscent of the people, places and paths they’ve crossed along the way.
Posie candles are designed, assembled and hand-poured using 100% soy wax, natural fragrance and essential oils in a range of reusable vessels. Making blends locally ensures each piece reflects Posie’s core beliefs in keeping trade; fair, cruelty free and sustainable for the environment." - Posie Candles
Orchard St. was founded in early 2013 by Kirsten Harvey, a qualified Naturopath, Herbalist and Nutritionist. A range of teas, essences, incense and candles are just a few things that have been created with the intention of enhancing health and wellbeing.
"We value integrity, community and responsibility to the environment around us. We believe in working together to create a greater good." - Orchard St
Rooted in Mud is designed and created by Emma Rose in San Francisco, California.
"My goal is to create tactile objects intended for every day use. The boxes I create are decorative, and functional. My hands are involved in every step of the making process, and I like to think of them being held and cherished by your hands too." - Emma Rose
