10 Years of Natalie Marie Jewellery

Here, in the last breath of a transformative decade, standing on the precipice of a new one, we reflect upon 10 years of Natalie Marie Jewellery and pay homage to our heritage and the origins of our creative practice. We have always viewed ourselves as stewards of love, and conduits for connection. Through our work, we have carved a space within some of life’s most intimate exchanges. In nervous questions, asked on bended knee. In memorials. In birthdays. In milestones. In moments of ‘just because’. And each time, from first encounter to final form, we have been the grateful recipients of your trust; distilling your love, elation, heartbreak, and sense memory into physical landmarks and modern heirlooms.

Through maturity we have found clarity in what is truly important to us, and our process is deeply rooted in responsible and conscious creation, inclusivity and transparency, and material excellence. Over the years we have refined our distinct style – an alchemy of tradition and innovation – and embark upon this next chapter with a renewed creative perspective.

In celebration of this occasion, our Founder, Natalie Fitch, has crafted 10 one-off designs featuring rare Australian native gold in quartz. Drawn from Natalie’s personal collection – near impossible to source – the stones hold profound significance. Harnessing their unique composition and organic aesthetic, Natalie returned to a place of free creative expression and process, constructing pieces that stand on their own whilst echoing the design sensibility of her earliest works.

We are proud to launch this special collection and even more so, to do it in collaboration with contemporary visual artist, Ash Holmes. The synergies between the artistic and jewellery realms are ceaseless; each has the capacity to transcend the physical and become symbolic and timeless. In the same way Natalie Marie Jewellery’s pieces are imbued with emotion and meaning, so too is art – in the hands of the wearer, or the eyes of the viewer, they can be transformed. While spending time with the collection’s stones, Natalie recognised their own likeness to paintings – micro-scale natural works of art, full of movement, fluidity and depth – akin to Ash’s works.

Inspired by our custom collection, Ash has created 10 unique works of art here in her studio at Hake House. Both mediums speak the same aesthetic language: that of the heart and hand working in unison, deeply appreciative of process and material, surrendering to the practice – each creator guided by the material, rather than controlling it. At this moment, we thank you for your unending support of our collections, our people, our triumphs, our setbacks, our growth. For us, it has always been about love. In its myriad forms and shades, its tender quietness, its fire and fury. We look towards our next 10 years with hope, gratitude, and curiosity. Reaching, as always, for love.
