NMJ Lovers | Sarah and Stewart

The Beautiful wedding of one of our NMJ Brides was recently featured on White Magazine's Blog.  Read all the details below, along with some of our favourite snaps of the day...

Sarah and Stewart’s wedding journey began on a camping trip at Seal Rocks on the NSW mid-coast. The pair were enjoying a picnic at a secluded spot by the rock pools. They were the only people on the beach until a busload full of tourists unloaded right next to them. Sarah suggested they relocate to a quieter spot and Stewart eagerly agreed. By this stage Sarah was beginning to worry that Stewart was unwell. He had been acting erratically and needed to go to the toilet every ten minutes. It turns out Stewart’s “illness” was purely nerves. They only made it a few hundred metres down the beach when Stewart dropped to his knee and popped the question before they could be interrupted again! Sarah was completely shocked, and actually responded with “Wha-?” before realising he was proposing!

It didn’t take long for Sarah to realise Stewart was the one. “He was different to all the other guys. He was someone I could truly be myself around,” she says. “Over the past ten years, he has shown me what it means to give my heart fully and to wake up every morning knowing that I am enough. He makes me feel safe and fearless – like I can do and achieve anything! He makes me feel special, capable, beautiful and lovable.”

The pair tied the knot on a beautiful farm on the south-coast of NSW.

What is marriage to you?

Marriage is a celebration of love, a lifelong commitment to support and adore one another. To us personally, marriage is a promise to live by our golden mantra – ‘same team – same dream’.

What was your favourite part of the wedding day?

There was a moment during the ceremony when it felt like everything slowed down. Standing hand in hand with Stewart, I looked over to our guests and saw that all of the most important people in our lives were with us, sharing in this moment. If only I could describe the amount of love and gratitude and perfect joy I felt in that one moment.
