NMJ Lovers | Ally & Will
Introducing Ally May Carey and Will Tresidder - the lovers at the heart of our newest collection, Every Line Leads To You. At Natalie Marie Jewellery, authenticity is at the core of everything we create, and the quiet, undeniable connection between Ally and Will was felt from the very first moment. Their love is gentle, grounded, and deeply intentional - a reflection of modern partnership in its most honest form.
In this conversation, Ally and Will share the moments that have shaped their relationship so far: how they met, the rituals that anchor their days, and what choosing each other means to them. Through their words, they remind us that love doesn’t always arrive loudly - sometimes it grows softly, in the everyday, and becomes something lasting simply by being true.
How did you meet, and what first drew you to one another?
We met through work at the time, down in Thredbo. It always happens when you least expect it. We truly think the universe had this planned for us — there are too many coincidences for it not to have been. We both felt how easy it was just being around each other. Nothing felt performative. It was natural from the start, like we’d known each other for years.
Can you recall the moment you first realised you were in love?
There wasn’t one big cinematic moment, but a slow realisation that crept in during the everyday — noticing how safe I felt when I was with him, how much I missed him when he wasn’t around, how he became my first call and my last thought. Love arrived quietly and never really left.

How do you want your love to feel in twenty years?
Soft, strong, and deeply rooted. We want our love to feel like home — a place where we’re still growing individually, but always choosing each other, laughing easily, and moving through life together with the same sense of partnership we built from the start.

What small rituals define your relationship?
Our relationship is shaped by the little things: making coffee for each other without asking, sharing music on long drives or late nights, sitting side by side while scrolling through design references or sketching ideas, and dreaming out loud about the future. We finish our days with couch check-ins, send voice notes when we’re apart, take slow walks together with Archie, and tidy the kitchen before bed to reset for tomorrow. It’s in these everyday moments — between creativity, practicality, and shared dreaming — that we always find our way back to each other.

What does choosing a ring — and choosing each other — mean to you?
The ring is a symbol of permanence, but choosing each other is daily — in the big decisions and the quiet ones. It means committing not to perfection, but to showing up — to grow together, forgive often, and keep choosing love even on the harder days.
What was your favourite part of your proposal day?
The feeling of complete surprise — and then the overwhelming sense of clarity. It felt like everything aligned at once: excitement, joy, and certainty all tangled together. But more than the moment itself, it was seeing his emotion and knowing how deeply intentional the day had been.
What have you each taught each other about love?
He’s taught me that real love is steady, patient, and secure — not dramatic or complicated. I hope I’ve shown him that love can also be expressive, creative, and expansive. Together, we’ve learned that love isn’t just how you feel — it’s how you show up for one another, again and again.
