This work reflects on the pause within a shared ritual, when familiar objects hold the possibility of conversation and connection. A wide, blue-lined cup sits beside a slender striped glass against a warm peach ground. Curling white forms move around them, lending a gentle sense of motion to the stillness of the table.

The contrast between the low, open cup and the upright glass gives each a distinct presence, their imperfect outlines carrying the intimacy of a gesture made by hand. Textured passages of warm brown suggest the traces of daily life, a surface touched and returned to. The painting invites reflection on companionship as something quietly sustained through time spent together, often within the simplest moments.
