Mother Bird reflects the quiet clarity that can emerge through motherhood, the realisation that within the transformation and responsibility, there is also a deeper return to self. Rather than losing identity, the work considers motherhood as a process of becoming more fully and honestly who one has always been. The blue bird appears as both protector and self portrait, carrying a sense of calm, instinct and emotional freedom. Surrounded by softness and open space, the composition speaks to the peace that can arrive when the competing versions of self begin to dissolve, leaving behind something more grounded and true. The work reflects a mother no longer searching for who she was before, but recognising herself more clearly within who she has become.

NMJ pieces are mindfully handcrafted, predominantly in our in house Sydney studio. Our skilled artisans are the heart and soul of Natalie Marie Jewellery. Their vision, knowledge and meticulous design techniques underpin the well-loved aesthetic and incomparable quality of our pieces.

As it stands*, 97.65% of our pieces are manufactured in Australia. 89.03% of our online pieces are made in house at our Avalon studio, 8.35% are made in our Australian partner studios, and the remaining 2.35% are made offshore by our RJC accredited supplier from certified Australian gold. 100% of Bespoke, One of a Kind and Signature Design pieces are made in either our Avalon Studio or by our NMJ master jewellers in Sydney.
