Who do these hands belong to?
Zinovia, everyone calls me Zin!
What is your role at Natalie Marie Jewellery and how long have you been on the team?
My role is Bespoke Customer Service Manager and Designer, I joined the team earlier this year.
When did you first come across Natalie Marie Jewellery?
Many years ago... my cousin actually said to me "I found this jewellery brand that has your name all over it" and I have been a follower ever since.
Describe a typical day for you?
I am an early riser; I like to get up before the sun and either start my day with a run along the beach or a long walk with Frankie (my pup). Once I get to work it generally starts with a coffee….and emails! I manage all bespoke enquiries, which tend to steer the way my day goes from quoting our lovely bespoke clients to distributing leads to our bespoke designers which now also extends to myself as I have recently started to take on my own clients - very exciting!
Most treasured piece of jewellery?
I have 3! My engagement ring of course, Chris did such an amazing job it is the perfect mix of my simplistic style with a hint of him as well. My Mum gave me a beautiful Opal ring that my dad actually made for her when they first started dating - it is one of my favourite pieces! And finally, the signet I wear on my pinky finger - which was my sisters when she was a kid I wear it every day.
What is your favourite Natalie Marie piece?
The Macie Ring has always been my favourite piece and I can finally say I have purchased this beauty to wear on my wedding day!
I also adore are the Willow Drop Earrings and Signet.
What jewellery do you like?
I like jewellery that has meaning and marks a special moment in my life gifted by people close to me.
You recently married your partner Chris, what was the highlight of the day?
I did! We finally managed to pull it off with COVID and all. To be honest there was no specific highlight, it was a tough journey to get there but it was just the best day and just having all our closest loved ones in the one room to share our day meant a lot (some of those who JUST managed make it from interstate).
What do your rings mean to you?
It is pretty special to see us both wearing matching rings. I didn’t think Chris’ would last much longer than a day or so on his finger, but he has surprised me- he loves it!
Where would we find you on the weekend? How do you unwind?
99% of the time you will find me on the coastal walk from Dee Why to Freshwater - it is our weekend tradition and I feel lost when I go a weekend without it. This is pretty much how I unwind - we of course always make sure we make a pitstop for a coffee at our favourite little cafe.
Coffee or Tea? How do you take it?
Coffee… Long Black with a splash of cold milk. I do love a good English Breakfast Tea as well.
What inspires you?
I would have to say the people that I surround myself with daily inspire me!
If you could live anywhere else, apart from Sydney, where would it be?
I love the idea of living in Byron Bay… so maybe that’s where I would be.
If you were not working at NMJ, what would you be doing?
Ohhhh - possibly a Naturopath or something along those lines.
What are you currently reading?
I am ashamed to say.. I am not currently reading anything. I am not much of a reader, anyone that knows me knows I find it hard to sit still. I do want to start though!
What kind of challenges do you like to set yourself in life?
I definitely try and push myself out of my comfort zone as much as I can.
What are you most grateful for?
My beautiful family, friends and of course my partner.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
To just go with it. I am very much a planner and although that is great for some aspects in life, not everything will go according to your plan. So embrace it and go along for the ride!
What is your least known talent?
I think it’s so unknown I don't even know what it is? …. I mean, I have really strong willpower - Is that a talent?
What is your favourite gemstone?
I have a newfound love for green and blue sapphires.
What has been the best gift you’ve ever received?
Oh gosh this is a hard one, I love all gifts haha! I would have to say not that I have yet used it but I recently received a roar and snore experience at Taronga Zoo, which I think will be really cool! I really love receiving experiences as gifts, as it pushes me to do something I wouldn't usually do. Also, how can I forget we got our dog for my birthday 2 years ago and definitely one of the best gifts and birthdays!
What’s been your favourite gift to give?
I have two that I have to share! Probably the watch I bought Chris, not so much because it was a beautiful watch, but because it was pretty sentimental to him. We originally bought it when we were living overseas and he lost It recently, he couldn’t find anything similar back in Aus so I did some good research to find the exact same one and had it send to us - he was over the moon!
The other was a return to trip to London for my parents, an incentive for them to come and visit Chris and I when we were living there! It was one of the best reactions I think I have experienced!
What is on your Christmas Wishlist?
A Polaroid camera would be well received!
