NMJ Lovers | Morgan & Steve

We would like to introduce you to our latest feature couple, Steve Timberlake & Morgan Tait. They have shared their engagement story and a little about their process in creating the perfect engagement ring.

How did you both meet?

We met through mutual friends while we were in high school. I was over at my girlfriends house and her brother happened to have his friend 'kiwi' over... The rest is history.

Share your engagement story?

It's a long story involving, a picnic, lightning, heavy rain, some swearing, a little wrestling, a very annoying security guard, and loads of awkwardness, but we got there in the end.

What does marriage mean to you?

Morgan: Being able to do this thing called life with my perfect partner. The second Steve proposed I have felt sense of calmness. I feel completely comfortable knowing we are officially in this together and he has my back. Which is crazy I know, we've been dating for 10 years!

Tell us all about the details of your ring, what was the process like for you, what are your favourite aspects of the piece?

Morgan: I love the simplicity and fine details my ring holds. Every time I look down at this ring I don't see a diamond, I see the work and time ​Steve and Natalie both put in to create the perfect ring. I'm in love!

Steve: Knowing Morgan does not wear a lot of jewellery I was struggling for ideas in the beginning.But as she said for her simplicity is key. The team at Natalie Marie were super helpful and once I had my diamond ready and ​they talked me through the rest.

​I'm really happy with the result and Morgs loves it too.

Do you have wedding plans yet?

Yes! We're planning to get married Feb/March 2019. Steve's from New Zealand so we've chosen to get married back in his hometown of Mount Maunganui. We haven't booked in anything yet, but we've found our venue.
