First crossing paths through mutual friends ten years ago, their connection truly began when Raven reached out and asked Juliet on a date. From that moment, she remembers a feeling that never left.

“I’ve had butterflies ever since,” Juliet shares.

Over the years, their relationship has evolved alongside them. Through changing seasons of life, shifting interests, and personal growth, one constant has remained. Their commitment to nurturing each other.

Let’s go back to the beginning, how did you meet?

We met 10 years ago, briefly through mutual friends but then connecting a little later on. Raven messaged me asking to take me out on a date and from that moment, I have had butterflies that have never seemed to disappear.

In what ways do you feel your relationship has changed or grown, and in what ways has it remained the same?

Over 10 years we have grown so close to one another and developed true companionship. Through the decade there have been so many changes in interests and life, but through each change and motion we appreciate and nurture each other.

Juliet, what was your reaction when you saw your engagement ring for the first time?

The moment Raven got on one knee, and I saw that Natalie Marie logo on the top of the ring box, I bawled my eyes out and couldn’t even see the ring through my blurred vision! He knew I wanted something bespoke and designed by him. I absolutely adore my Ceylon Sapphire trilogy. It is truly one of a kind and so special to me. I love that he and the NMJ team spent many months designing it until it was perfect. It is timeless.

Beyond the physical aesthetics, can you delve into the sentimental value your NMJ pieces hold for you? Are there particular moments or memories attached to them that stand out?

Beyond its physical beauty, the ring holds deep sentimental value because it represents a moment of certainty and commitment. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded of the thought, love, and intention behind the proposal, as well as the excitement and emotion of that day.

What is something that has surprised you about marriage – perhaps a misconception proven wrong, or an assumption proven right?

I always had an understanding that marriage and relationships would be hard. That every day would be a battle and that you had to fight for your love but in this relationship it has never been so easy, so calm and so fun. We will be married for coming up to 3 years in August and it has been a delight. Sure, there are difficult times, when dealing with grief and loss for one, but that brought us closer together. Life can be hard, but not our marriage. Marriage is what gets us through it, together.

What is one of your favourite moments from your special day?

Our wedding day was incredible! The happiest moment in our lives! It was filled with so much love, joy and laughter. We got married at St Marys Cathedral in Sydney and I remember standing at the start of the very long aisle while ‘May it be’ by Enya played on the church organs. I remember feeling so happy and excited to meet him at the end of the aisle. A real moment in time.
